The only surgical department in dentistry trained to recognise and treat a wide spectrum of diseases, injuries, and defects in the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. It involves the treatment of dental infections, maxillofacial trauma, pathology, facial deformity, facial pain, and temporomandibular joint disorders.
